GenesisX has had a very busy month by gaining new team members (advisers, marketers & support roles), we have also launched into our development of our sister coin $BGX (BitcoinGenX) and it main use case our own cryptocurrency exchange (GenXchange) while developing the SPS Platform. It is important firstly to understand how we are managing both projects at this point. There are separate team members focusing on different areas of our GenesisX ecosystem. Tom has largely focused on BGX while we have a large group of team members contributing to the functioning of XGS and Drethic still working on the SPS platform. As time goes on and we find developers worth adding to speed up the process, you will find the goals will be reached quicker. I have always stayed firm in believing rushing into adding team members can be high risk and potentially a bad idea. Doing proper research and adding people that tick all the boxes is the only way forward.
In our next article there will be more definition on SPS progress and its current status alongside the development of GenXchange, however we need to release the information surrounding BGX because quite frankly, no-one can contain themselves… nor me. So here we go!

“BitcoinGenX is part of the GenesisX family — A sister coin to GenesisX. BitcoinGenX has been created to work, trade and develop alongside GenesisX and will be connected to the GenXchange which is currently being built and will be beta released in Q2 of 2019. BitcoinGenX will also be connected to our other platforms we are developing and look to develop in the future.”
So there have been a large amount of questions regarding the airdrop, who is entitled? Is this a swap? How do I get BGX? Does BGX go into XGS wallet? If i have masternodes do I still get the airdrop? I am hoping to clear up some if not most of the questions you have been seeking answers on.
Firstly lets look at the dates these processes are aiming to be complete by:
Website & Wallet release — December 21
Snapshot - December 30
Claim form Cut - Off date January 20
Airdrop January 4- January 30(Cutoff)
Exchange (Beta) - Q2 2019
These dates are our desired goal dates how ever the highest priority we have at the moment is developing the wallets. Without wallets no one will receive anything. With that in mind if it takes a bit longer to get the wallet developed then the dates will be pushed back accordingly.
|Details of the snapshot process|
The snapshot is a moment in the block-chains history whereby all addresses have a record of holdings at that specific moment. We will be using this information as proof of what coins where located where, all you will have to do is provide us with the information of your BGX wallet address and we will do the rest.
The airdrop has been designed to truly reward XGS holders that are interested in the long-term health of both the GenesisX and BitcoinGenX Networks. It is NOT a swap. All involved will keep all their XGS.
The success of the GenesisX Network is in many ways dependent on the broad and equitable distribution of the BGX coin. Simply stated, the more users we have staking XGS or running masternodes, the more secure, decentralised and ultimately fair the network becomes.
While we want to maintain the integrity of the GenesisX Network, these airdrops also serve to strengthen the project both GenesisX and BitcoinGenX by:
- Rewarding our long term XGS community members and supporters
- Incentive’s for holding of XGS
- Reducing exchange volatility
The security of the network alone makes these airdrops important, but when coupled with their downstream benefits, this initiative becomes imperative. The more BGX that is airdropped the more likely it will be that more masternodes will be activated and thus securing the BGX network early on. The low supply amount ensures also those who are able to lock in BGX masternodes early will be rewarded highly for it.
|Airdrop Allocation|
Please make sure you read this article carefully and understand the process you must go through to prove your holdings. Please be prepared and follow the instructions to allow us to quickly process all claimants.
Because the BGX wallets will be released first in the order sequence we will need those participating in the airdrop to download the wallets as fast as possible. The will be a 10 day window to download the BGX wallet and provide us with your new BGX address and all of your existing XGS addresses(masternodes included) and send us this information to us via google form.
PERSONAL Wallet Claiming
How do you prove you own a personal (PC) wallet? You must sign an address using the built in wallet “Sign Message” feature.
How do you do this?
Open your GenesisX wallet.
Click “File”->”Sign Message…”
Next, you will enter the ADDRESS that held XGS on the snapshot date at block 308080 , a MESSAGE, and then click “SIGN MESSAGE”
- Enter GenesisX address which held XGS on snapshot in the ADDRESS field
- Enter “BGX Airdrop” in MESSAGE field
- Click “Sign Message”
The “SIGNATURE” will now appear in the SIGNATURE field.
Next, copy the ADDRESS+SIGNATURE. This is critical identifying information required to prove you are the owner of this address. If you have signed using an address that held XGS on the snapshot, you will be given BGX coins at the 200:1 ratio.
So, for PERSONAL (computer) wallets, the claiming process is simple. You must simply prove you owned the address using the GenesisX wallet’s built in signing feature.
- Open GenesisX wallet
- Follow MESSAGE SIGNING instructions and picture guide above
- Copy ADDRESS+SIGNATURE
- Fill out XGS|BGX claim form
- If verified, you will be eligible for a 200XGS:1BGX airdrop.
Personal wallet claimants will be the fastest and easiest to process.
Next, we move to EXCHANGE claiming, which is much more complex and requires a lot more effort by us to verify.
Exchange Wallet Claiming
How do you prove you owned a GenesisX wallet on an exchange with a balance at the time of snapshot? To do this, you must provide certain important information to check if you really are the owner of the account and that it did hold XGS.
Why is this?
Because an exchange wallet address on the block explorer may not directly reflect the actual balance held by the user. So we will need to manually verify that you
a) own the exchange account and
b) verify the amount you held at the time of snapshot.
The steps to claim your XGS balance on tradeogre exchange wallet are:
- Login to the exchange
- Go to “Account” page
- Screenshot your account balances, showing the GenesisX you currently hold. Load to IMGUR.
- Go to your “Deposit” on XGS line to bring up your XGS address. Load to IMGUR.
- Go to “Deposit History & Withdrawal History”
- Screenshot ALL confirmed withdrawal and deposits for XGS. Load to IMGUR.
- Go to your “trade history” (orders) screen.
- Screenshot ALL XGS trades (buys/sales, including full screen). Load to IMGUR.
- Your email will be double-checked and verified.
- Your transfers and trade logs will be used to calculate your actual XGS balance at that time.
- If EMAIL verified and XGS balance confirmed, you will be eligible for a 200:1 airdrop of BGX coins.
NOTE: If your exchange does not show an “email” on the site, you must show an email you have received from the exchange using the email address you’re claiming from. For CRYPTOBRIDGE, there is no email, but an identifying username.
The EXCHANGE claim process requires manual verification from our team. Be aware exchange users will be the slowest to be processed, and we will be very strict with the requirements. Any anomalies in your claims will likely result in rejection. We request that people claiming BGX coin research and learn the process to help us process you in a much faster way.
Any errors or mistakes will slow down the processing time. If we discover any photo shopping or manipulation in your entries it will result in your claim being rejected.
So, to summarise, the EXCHANGE claim process is:
- Provide IMAGE of email used for exchange account
- Load your images onto your IMGUR account https://imgur.com/uploadand use the share links for each image and input into the google form individually.
- Provide IMAGE evidence of email used
- Provide IMAGE evidence of FULL XGS transfer log (deposit/withdrawl)
- Provide IMAGE evidence of FULL XGS trade log (buy/sale)
- If email verified, check balance
- Fill out XGS|BGX claim form
- If held XGS on snapshot, user is eligible for 200:1 airdrop of BGX coins.
This is what the website looks like where you add pictures and stores them on their server. Each picture and album has a link which you will send us for us to view. In the meantime check them out and play around with the site to become familiar with it.
Exchange users are encouraged to be patient for their claims to be handled.
We will be simplifying the process for all XGS holders who like visual aides by releasing a video on the website and YouTube which will run through a step by step process on how to claim your free BGX.
Processing
Unclaimed BGX will not be distributed after the cut-off date of 30th of January, 2019.
There will be an official Google Form posted and announced by GenesisX project when it is ready for claimants. Thanks for your patience throughout this phase we just want to ensure that it is a smooth process for all parties involved with no errors.

Q:Is this a swap?
A:No, you will keep all of your XGS. 2 different platforms with 2 different use cases. Its a reward for loyal XGS holders.
Q:Who is entitled?
A: Anyone who owns XGS. It is the only way to secure getting BGX early.
Q:How do i get BGX?
A:There is no presale of BGX. The only way to get BGX without getting an airdrop will be buying it off the GenXchange. BGX is planning on being listed on any other exchanges.
Q:Does BGX get airdropped into XGS wallet?
A:No, BGX will have its own wallet which you will have to download to your computer to receive the airdrop. There will be a 10 day window before the airdrop starts to install the new wallet to receive the new coin.
Q:If i have masternodes, do I still get the airdrop?
A:Yes, Your masternode still uses an XGS address which is traceable and will be captured in the snapshot. As long as you follow the instructions on PC Wallet claiming process it will be fine.
Q:If I run masternodes on Node Hosting platforms am i still eligible?
A:Yes, this will require more information from you and it will be on a case by case basis. Each platform will have their own unique process so if this is you you will need to contact us with more information to claim.
