Welcome to the RISE Vision PLC newsletter! This newsletter aims to update you with key developments from the RISE team. Thanks for reading!

Company Update

At the start of the year RISE Vision PLC was officially registered as a company in Gibraltar. This was the first strategic step in our vision to provide a foundation for long term sustainable growth. This month both our Lead Developer, Andrea, and CEO, Cormac, visited Gibraltar again to meet with regulators to progress the RISE Vision PLC application for a Distributed Ledger Technology licence. This licence is provided by Gibraltar Financial Services Commission against nine regulatory principles that need to be adhered to in order to become a DLT provider.

Pending approval of the DLT provider licence, RISE will be able to ensure we achieve both regulatory and strategic innovation objectives for the future. RISE hopes to share more information on the status of this in February.

Cormac also visited Singapore this month to work on detailed planning for 2018. As mentioned, we are working on multiple projects behind the scenes to grow the RISE business. At present, key areas of focus are regulatory compliance, exchanges, technology testing, a refreshed website and increased marketing efforts.

Other team members visited the Netherlands to meet with Founder of Oxycoin and RISE DPOS developer, Jan and his team. We believe it is essential to collaborate with the wider Delegated Proof of Stake community to ensure the success of not only RISE, but to improve the DPOS protocol to become truly sustainable in the future. Furthermore, our goal for collaborating together is to facilitate mass adoption of cryptocurrency, therefore we are excited for RISE to be part of the Oxycoin iOS mobile application.

Technology Development Update

Our Lead Developer, Andrea, has confirmed that the TypeScript core is being actively tested in testnet. In the coming days, the developers and testers will spam the network with both valid and invalid transactions, which are carefully crafted to hit possible edge cases.

Meanwhile, core development is moving forward and the development team are writing both unit and integration tests that will help to iterate faster for the next releases.

In addition, the development team have built a new set of tools that will help to package the core code in an easy and reliable way reducing the amount of time needed for a user to run a node on the RISE network.

In total we have 38 testers for the RISE Testers Program to test our brand new TypeScript code base. A big thank you to the 38 testers who joined the program to ensure the RISE network is scalable and secure for future projects.

TypeScript core in mainnet will be released shortly after all our tests in testnet are proven to be successful.

Marketing Update

RISE attended London Blockchain Week and were the only Delegated Proof of Stake (DPOS) blockchain present. It was great to meet token holders and non-token holders who wanted to learn more about the RISE blockchain and how the DPOS protocol works. Some of the key themes and messages that were discussed at the conference were global regulation, education and scalable use cases of blockchain technology. It is important for RISE and the team to be fully aware of the industry we operate in, therefore we will look to continue attending events in a range of relevant markets. The next conference we’ll be attending is Blockchain Economic Forum in Singapore from February 4th to 6th.

The RISE team are also working on designing a new website to improve our brand image and support future marketing efforts. We believe our website is the foundation to help all those interested in learning about RISE have a better user experience and access to up to date information and resources. Again, we are more than happy to take on suggestions from the community on areas for improvement on our new website. Additionally, if you know of any conferences or events that RISE should be attending, please let us know. Contact @jolie on Slack or Discord.

In the meantime, make sure you follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Linkedin for latest news.

RISE Monthly Statistics

Disclaimer: RISE is not a security, and token holders are not investors. There is no guarantee you will make any money from holding RISE tokens, and you do not own any part of RISE VISION or any entity as a result of owning RISE tokens. In past communications, we may have used the words “investor” or “investments,” which in common English usage can mean when someone spends their money for a good or service.
