Token Allocation Redesign and Token Burn
The ARCS team will Burn the total supply of ARCS to 1/50. Therefore, the total supply will decrease from 20 billion to 400 million. However, the amount of ARCS that is already distributed to the market, or ARCS you own now, does not change. We will burn the ARCS team’s holdings significantly instead. And we will also reconsider the Token Allocation. We will burn on May 21st. Therefore, if you buy from the market, such as KuCoin and Probit, before this date, your ARCS will be effectively 50 times more valuable after Burn.
If you look at the ARCS Token Holder Chart on Etherscan, you will find that over 99% of the total ARCS is held by three accounts. As you might already know that this is the account we, ARCS team, manage. If I consider to invest in ARCS projects and look at the Token Holder Chart, will I really invest in ARCS? The answer is NO. Because the price of ARCS may collapse at some point due to the big sell by the ARCS team.
We considered that we need to improve the current Token Allocation before restarting the ARCS project. So we decided to redistribute the ARCS to the following Token Allocation Chart. Please note that this distribution ratio is the current plan, therefore it might change in the future.
There are various ways to redistribute a token, though, we decided to choose the way of Token Burn. Specifically, we will burn the total supply of ARCS to 1/50. Therefore, the total supply will decrease from 20 billion to 400 million.
However, if we burn the amount of ARCS that is already distributed to the market, or ARCS you own now, it means robbing assets from you. Therefore this burn will not change your ARCS holdings. We will burn the significant amount of ARCS team’s holdings instead. Please check the following image.
Therefore, by holding ARCS before burn, the value of ARCS will be effectively 50 times more after Burn.
