Bodhi Mainnet Launch Announcement Recap with Qtum
This past Friday, on April 13th, 2018, Bodhi announced its plans to launch a working Decentralized Application (DApp) on the Qtum Mainnet on April 23, 2018. Bodhi was the first DApp to launch on the Qtum Testnet at the end of 2017, and is continuing its commitment to be the leading DApp in the Qtum ecosystem in terms of progress.
The meetup began with a talk by Qtum’s Founder, Patrick Dai, speaking about the philosophy of Qtum, its advantages and challenges, as well as a look to the future, and Qtum’s upcoming x86, which will allow coders to program in whatever programming languages they are already comfortable with, lowering the barrier to entry for wider developer adoption of blockchain technologies.
Following this was a talk by Bodhi’s Founder, Xiahong Lin, giving an overview of prediction markets, and their natural fit with blockchain technologies. He next spoke about the competitive landscape of blockchain prediction markets, with a comparison to well known alternatives. Bodhi then unveiled their demo, and Xiahong walked us through the use cases.
