Developing the OPUS player has been the primary focus of our hard work for over nine months. The strategy devised by our team was a bold move towards doing things differently in the world of blockchain startups, and we will continue working with this kind of boldness going forward. With the release of our player, we will continue implementing our plan by combining the constant development of the platform with our brand new marketing strategy.

“2017 was, without a doubt, the year of crowdsales and their drastic growth in popularity. It was also the year of pouring huge amounts of resources into marketing the crowdsales, and a race to see who could outspend everyone else and generate the greatest buzz. Of course, this is something that is required to succeed in this market, but in the long term, this strategy does not necessarily guarantee success.

2018 will be the year where all the promises set out in the previous year will be verified. I am convinced that OPUS will fulfill all its promises and succeed in the journey our team set out on. I also hope that OPUS will be a pioneer among blockchain startups and prove that in the long run, the product is the single most important part of any project, and it is the product itself that should receive the most attention.” — Mateusz Mach, COO.

We are now in the final stretch of the development. Most of the player is finished already, and we have been testing and improving it every step of the way. Be sure to check out our new landing page and the first look at our mobile app.

It’s been quite the journey

Around a year ago, the idea that would become OPUS was born, and we set ourselves immensely high standards. We have worked tirelessly over the past year to build a product that would achieve these standards and we have exceeded our own expectations.

So much has happened since we founded OPUS: we had our successful crowdsale, built a strong community, got featured in media outlets worldwide, moved our offices to Poland, recruited lots of artists, and sponsored the NAC3 Conference in New York. It may come as a surprise, then, that this is just the beginning of our journey.

During the development, we have been constantly engaging with our community to learn what they would like to see. As a result of these suggestions, we have tweaked some parts of our player to make it something that people will be happy to use. We have poured so many resources into the development that the platform will be, simply put, amazing.

Big things to come

Many members of our community have been asking us, “what are you guys working on right now?” and “when do you expect to launch the platform?” and “when will you guys start marketing more?” Those are all valid questions; indeed, we have been quite secretive up to now. Our development was not done in the open and we didn’t share too much information for fear of running into any unpleasant situations with our competitors. This is all about to change, OPUS has many more announcements lined up for the coming months in the run up to the premiere. Among other things, we will be:

  • sponsoring and organizing conferences all over the globe, from New York to London,
  • joining forces with other blockchain startups in the entertainment industry,
  • partnering with more artists than ever before, and, of course,
  • releasing our long-awaited player.

Regarding the last point, we have just launched our brand new landing page with the first look of our mobile app, which can also been seen at the beginning of this article.

We will continue developing the OPUS player, even after the launch, to make strides towards perfection.

A huge ‘thank you’ to our community!

Our entire team would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey. We wouldn’t have done it without our amazing community, which we hope to continue to build and work with.

A new chapter

With this announcement, we are moving swiftly and smoothly into the next chapter for OPUS. The launch is something that many of you have been waiting for patiently for several months. This period will be very eventful for OPUS. A whole year of work has been leading to this point and we are optimistic that it will work out perfectly.

Stay tuned for lots more news to come and get ready for May, the month of OPUS!
