Axie Infinity to Hold Classic Competitive S8 on March 10th
Axie Infinity has kicked off the Classic S8 preseason, with the regular season set to begin on March 10. The update introduces 66 new Level 2 cards, Gear mechanics, a revamped quest system, and changes to the Cursed Coliseum mode.
Key highlights include:
— Gear System: Two types—Speed Gear (boosts speed, reduces morale) and HP Gear (boosts HP, reduces skill).
— New Quest System: Starter Mode for newcomers and Guardian Mode for experienced players.
— Golden Wheel Revamp: AXS/SLP removed in favor of other rewards, with a new reputation-based system affecting SLP earnings.
— SLP Returns: Players can now earn SLP chests in battles, including mini-tournaments.
Additional changes include buffs rebalancing, the removal of Guild Points from Guild Vault Support, and various UI and gameplay improvements.
