Polkadot said its economic upgrade will begin rolling out on March 12. The update introduces a 2.1 billion DOT supply cap, a 53.6% reduction in emissions, and new governance and staking mechanisms. The project also said the unbonding period will be reduced from 28 days to 24–48 hours.
