Here is how the SOAP protocol turns mining power into $QUAI value.

Quai relies on merge-mining, meaning hardware can secure Quai and another blockchain simultaneously.

Normally, this process forces miners to immediately dump secondary tokens to cover costs, creating constant sell pressure on the market.

We designed SOAP (Subsidized Open-market Acquisition Protocol) to reverse this dynamic.

1. Miners secure chains like DOGE, LTC, BCH, or RVN while mining Quai.
2. Those external block rewards go to the Quai protocol as revenue.
3. These funds are used to market-buy QUAI.
4. 100% of that QUAI is burned.

Miners participate because the incentives remain aligned. While the protocol takes the external rewards, miners receive $QUAI block rewards for securing the network.

External chains are effectively subsidizing Quai security so that miners can remain profitable, while the token supply shrinks.
