Taiko provided an update on a security incident and said the exploit has been contained. According to the thread, an attacker exploited a flaw in bridge message-proof verification, enabling fraudulent withdrawals from the bridge and token vault before the contracts were paused. Taiko said the L1 Bridge and ERC-20Vault are paused, withdrawals through them have been stopped, pending transactions are paused rather than lost, and current loss estimates are up to about $1.7 million.
