io.net will phase out its Bare Metal on Demand offering on September 30. Going forward, it will be replaced with Virtual Machines as a Service (VMaaS). Bare metal machines will only be available upon special request. VMaaS brings improvements such as SSH root access and pre-configured images for data science tasks.
