What is Alpaca Finance?
Alpaca Finance is a decentralized lending platform that allows leveraged yield farming on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Launched in February 2021, it has quickly become one of the largest lending protocols on BSC, providing users with opportunities to earn high yield on their cryptocurrency assets through leveraged yield farming and lending services.
One of the distinguishing features of Alpaca Finance is the offering of leverage on yield farming. Users can maximize their potential returns by borrowing assets to farm multiple times their initial capital. Alpaca Finance supports various popular liquidity pools from PancakeSwap, which is the leading decentralized exchange on BSC.
The native token of Alpaca Finance is ALPACA. It serves as a governance token, allowing holders to vote on various protocol parameters and future development directions. ALPACA is also used to incentivize user participation in the platform; users can stake their ALPACA tokens to earn rewards. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Alpaca Finance continues to develop and introduce new features and services to improve its platform and benefit its users.
