What is Ampleforth Governance?
The Ampleforth Governance Token (FORTH) is the governance token for the Ampleforth Protocol and its Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). Launched in April 2021, FORTH allows holders to influence the protocol’s future through voting on proposed changes or delegating their votes to representatives. This governance structure ensures that the protocol remains adaptable and community-driven.
The Ampleforth ecosystem consists of AMPL, a rebasing cryptocurrency, and FORTH, its governance counterpart. AMPL adjusts its supply daily to stabilize its price, making it an alternative to traditional stablecoins. While AMPL focuses on maintaining price equilibrium, FORTH is responsible for governance, allowing token holders to propose and vote on modifications to the protocol, ensuring its ongoing evolution.
