What is BitTorrent?
BitTorrent (BTTC) is one of the most extensive decentralized P2P file-sharing platforms, operating on the Tron blockchain. The BitTorrent ecosystem includes a platform for live streaming, enabling content creators and viewers to earn and participate in BTTC staking.
The primary mechanism of BitTorrent involves the exchange of files among users rather than storing them on a centralized server. Files and data are distributed among users' computers: when a user downloads a file, they receive its parts from various sources and can subsequently provide the file to other users, becoming a “seed”. Download speed increases directly proportional the number of seeds available for a specific file.
BTTC token is the native token of the TRC-10 standard within the BitTorrent ecosystem and serves as a means of payment for P2P services the BitTorrent network. With it, users can pay for decentralized data storage, participate in file download auctions, receive rewards for providing services, and much more.
