What is Centrifuge?
Centrifuge is a decentralized protocol designed for the financing and tokenization of real-world assets on the blockchain. This protocol offers tools to create tokenized versions of real assets (referred to as Tinlake Pools) that can be leveraged in decentralized finance (DeFi) for borrowing or investing.
Key features and components of Centrifuge include:
Tokenization of Real Assets: Centrifuge allows businesses to convert real-world assets, such as real estate, invoices, and other forms of value, into tokenized assets that can be seamlessly traded and utilized within the DeFi ecosystem.
Tinlake: This is Centrifuge’s decentralized asset pool, where tokenized real-world assets can be collateralized for loans.
Bridging DeFi and Traditional Finance: Centrifuge aims to bridge the world of decentralized finance with traditional financial systems, offering a conduit between real assets and the cryptocurrency domain.
The CFG token is the native utility token of the Centrifuge protocol. It“s used for governance, fee payments, and participation in the Centrifuge ecosystem”s management. CFG holders can vote on proposals related to the protocol’s development and improvements.
