What is Kin?
Kin is a decentralized cryptocurrency that enables global permissionless transactions without intermediaries. It is noninflationary, with a fully distributed supply that cannot be increased.
Kin was created in 2017 by Kik Inc. and initially launched on the Ethereum blockchain. In 2020, Kin migrated to the Solana blockchain, which allows for efficient scaling with near-instant transactions and minimal fees. Solana’s technology also provides a sustainable platform with 0% net carbon impact.
The KIN token is used as currency across various independent websites, apps, games, and services. It facilitates micropayments, enabling new revenue streams for content creators and developers.
