What is PolySwarm?
PolySwarm is a decentralized cybersecurity platform built on the Ethereum blockchain. It functions as a global marketplace for threat intelligence, where participants collaboratively identify, analyze, and mitigate malware and other digital threats. By leveraging blockchain transparency and smart contracts, PolySwarm enables real-time, trustworthy sharing of cybersecurity data and fosters early detection of emerging threats through collective intelligence.
PolySwarm operates through a crowdsourced model that connects security researchers, antivirus companies, and threat analysts within a single ecosystem. These participants submit malware samples and analyses, which are automatically verified and scored using the platform’s proprietary PolyScore system — an algorithm designed to evaluate the accuracy and credibility of threat detections. Smart contracts ensure fair competition by rewarding precise threat identification and penalizing inaccurate results, creating a self-regulating, incentive-based environment for cybersecurity improvement.
The NCT (Network Cybersecurity Token) is an ERC-20 token that powers all economic activity within the PolySwarm ecosystem. It serves as a medium of exchange, rewarding contributors for submitting accurate threat intelligence and allowing users or organizations to pay for access to high-quality cybersecurity insights. The token aligns incentives across the network, ensuring ongoing participation and continuous enhancement of threat detection capabilities.
