What is Radworks?
Radicle is a sovereign infrastructure for open-source code collaboration. It is designed to give developers more control over their code and related resources without relying on centralized platforms. The wider Radworks ecosystem also includes Drips, a tool for distributing rewards to open-source projects.
Radicle operates as a peer-to-peer network built on top of Git. It adds P2P message exchange, support for decentralized identifiers, and locally verifiable repository identities. To enable collaboration without a single central source of state, the protocol uses Collaborative Objects for items such as issues, patches, and identities. Nodes communicate through a gossip protocol, replicate repositories directly between peers, and store data using a local-first model.
RAD is the native token of the Radworks ecosystem. It is used for governance through the DAO and for staking by Radicle node operators. These operators can provide storage and data retrieval services and receive compensation from network users.
