What is TE-FOOD?
TE-FOOD is a blockchain solution focused on farm-to-table food traceability, aiming to enhance transparency within the food industry. The platform’s primary objective is to instill confidence in consumers regarding food origins and improve overall food industry operations.
The system operates end-to-end, covering the entirety of the supply chain. It provides tools to identify and track items or batches, securely records data on the blockchain, processes this information, and ultimately presents it to consumers. TE-FOOD’s unique blockchain, termed the FoodChain, is a public permissioned chain. This structure permits both supply chain actors and consumers to run masternodes, ensuring a decentralized approach to food traceability.
Central to TE-FOOD’s ecosystem is the TFD, an ERC-20 token operating on the Ethereum platform. This token serves as a tokenized software license, granting users access to TE-FOOD’s features. All participants, whether individuals or organizations, require a specific amount of TFD tokens to engage with the TE-FOOD system.
