What is Vite?
Vite is a smart contract platform based on Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) technology, employing a Snapshot Chain structure to enable transactions without fees and enhance speed, reliability, and security. It adopts a Hierarchical Delegated Proof of Stake (HDPoS) for network consensus, and its virtual machine is compatible with EVM, featuring the asynchronous smart contract language Solidity++.
The mechanism of operation in Vite involves the use of Snapshot Chain and HDPoS for achieving consensus without compromising on transaction speed and security. Supernodes play a crucial role in this process, receiving staking rewards without transaction fees. Vite’s architecture allows for high-performance, scalable applications while maintaining compatibility with existing Ethereum tools and frameworks.
The VITE token serves as the primary currency within the Vite network, used for basic token transactions and executing smart contracts. Instead of gas, users stake VITE tokens to obtain transaction quotas, which can also be leased to dApps in exchange for their tokens. VITE is also used for voting for Snapshot Block Producers (supernodes) and can be staked in exchange for rewards, such as the ViteX exchange’s native token, VX.
