AB to Launch Timor-Leste AB Resort

AB DAO, in partnership with the AB Charity Foundation, has unveiled the Timor-Leste AB Resort — the world’s first national innovation center dedicated to both blockchain and AI. The resort will span 300,000 m² along the coastline, with Phase 1 (26,000 m²) expected to be completed within 18 months.

Backed by exclusive licenses from the Central Bank of Timor-Leste to issue stablecoins and operate a digital bank and exchange, the resort will offer secure, seamless on-chain transactions. Guests will be able to pay with crypto, and AB token holders will enjoy exclusive perks.

The integrated resort will feature luxury hotels, innovation offices, academic and R&D hubs, a yacht club, and a digital nomad village. It aims to become a global hub for blockchain professionals and AI innovation, while also supporting local infrastructure through a partnership with the Timor-Leste government.
