Chainlink has introduced Multistream, a new upgrade to Data Streams that significantly enhances oracle scalability and speed. The decentralized oracle network (DON) can now process thousands of unique data streams per second, delivering a 1000x increase in throughput.
The update also optimizes the deployment of new data streams, making their activation faster and more efficient. Multistream improves Data Streams for DeFi protocols by enabling developers to aggregate multiple data types in a single request and retrieve them on-chain with greater speed and flexibility.
