Chainlink to Be Integrated With Project Acacia
Chainlink announced its participation in Project Acacia, a joint initiative by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) and Digital Finance CRC (DFCRC), alongside Westpac Institutional Bank and Imperium Markets. The project aims to advance the Delivery vs. Payment (DvP) settlement of tokenized assets using the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) integrated with Australia’s PayTo payments system.
According to the RBA, tokenization could reduce costs for asset issuers by over AUD 12 billion annually. Westpac sees the initiative as a foundation for understanding the role of digital money in wholesale markets, offering secure, regulation-compliant infrastructure and risk-free settlement assets.
