Circle Launches Native USDC on Sui Blockchain
Circle has announced the launch of native USDC on the Sui blockchain, making it accessible on Sui Mainnet without the need for bridging. Circle Mint and Circle APIs now fully support USDC on Sui, allowing developers and users to access USDC liquidity through Sui’s fast and secure infrastructure.
Unlike the bridged wUSDC version from Ethereum, native USDC is issued directly by Circle and is fully compatible with Circle’s ecosystem, supporting a 1:1 redemption for US dollars. Developers are encouraged to integrate native USDC into their projects and migrate from the bridged version where applicable.
