Cripco to Conduct IP3 Token Split in February
Cripco has announced a significant change in its token model, moving from a dual-token model to a single-token model. The utility token IP3 will now also serve as the governance token, replacing the previously planned IPD token. This decision was made to enhance the scalability and usability of the ecosystem.
In addition, the total supply of IP3 tokens will be increased to 21 billion through a token split and airdrop. The old IP3 tokens will be deprecated and the team’s old tokens will be burned. The new IP3 tokens will be listed on both CEX and DEX. Furthermore, the IP3 token will be the value asset of the upcoming WARP3 platform, which is currently under development by Cripco.

As you know, the original CRIPCO white paper had a dual-token model where IP3 is the utility token and IPD is the governance token.
Recently, having discussed the single-token and dual-token models internally within our team, with a team of advisors, and with some of our most avid supporters, we came to a conclusion that for better ecosystem scalability, usability, and just for greater fun, the single-token model is more feasible and can be implemented more easily.
To accommodate the use cases of both tokens in one IP3, we hereby announce that IP3 token will be getting a new contract and its total supply will be split 1:70 and become 21 billion.
Why 21 billion?
- Well, we are 1,000 times more fun than Bitcoin
- It's half the coolest number in the universe 42
- We effectively abandon decimals and lower the IP3 accessibility threshold for traders
