Hedera to Release Consensus Node v.0.75 in July
Hedera will begin deprecating the AccountBalanceQuery method with the July Consensus Node release (v0.75). The change aims to improve network scalability by transitioning account balance lookups to more efficient alternatives.
Throttle limits will be gradually reduced starting in May:
–– February–April — 40,000 rps (unchanged)
–– May — 20,000 rps
–– June — 10,000 rps
–– July — method removed (all requests will fail)
Applications using AccountBalanceQuery are advised to migrate to the Hedera Mirror Node REST API before July. May and June are designated for testing and validation.
