Mars Protocol Shuts Down Mars Hub
Mars Protocol has officially announced the shutdown of Mars Hub, scheduled for March 20 at 12:00 UTC. This marks the final step in the transition of Mars Protocol governance to DAO DAO on Neutron, following a community-approved migration plan.
The decision to discontinue Mars Hub streamlines operations and reduces technical overhead. By consolidating governance onto Neutron-based smart contracts, the protocol minimizes maintenance costs and enhances its integration within the Cosmos ecosystem.
Key information for users
— MARS token migration is complete. Holders were required to unstake old MARS, transfer them via IBC to Neutron or Osmosis, and swap them 1:1 using Astroport or Osmosis transmuter pool.
— Final transaction deadline: March 20, 12:00 UTC. After this time, the Mars Hub blockchain will stop processing transactions.
— Unmigrated MARS tokens will be burned. Any remaining MARS liquidity in the transmuter contract will be withdrawn and permanently removed from circulation.
Core Mars Protocol functions such as Red Bank, High-Leverage Strategies, Perps, and more will remain operational on Neutron and Osmosis, governed by Mars Hub DAO.
