NØNOS announced the release of NØNOS 0.8.10-alpha, described as a test pre-release. According to the thread, this is the first version that boots end to end as a microkernel, from the signed loader through the kernel into a desktop that users can verify and inspect. The build runs under QEMU and VirtualBox, adds a generic UEFI framebuffer, and ships with SHA-256 and BLAKE3 checksums, an attestation manifest and related verification materials.

This is one of the first times NØNOS boots end to end as a microkernel, from our signed loader through the kernel into a desktop you can actually verify and we are sharing it now, as it stands, rather than waiting for it to be polished.

This 0.8.10-alpha is a test pre-release.
