Optimism to Launch Superchain Upgrade 16.0 in July
Optimism has announced the rollout of Superchain Upgrade 16.0, which was approved through OP Governance and will go live next week. The upgrade includes smart contract modifications to enhance interoperability, increased decentralisation, and security in line with L2Beat’s updated Stage 1 requirements for OP Mainnet, Base, InkOnChain, and Unichain, as well as an increase in the OP Stack gas limit to 500 million units per block.
