Paxos Acquires Membrane Finance
Paxos, a leading regulated blockchain platform, has announced the acquisition of Membrane Finance, a Finnish fintech company. This strategic move will enable Paxos to expand its presence in Europe and comply with the EU’s MiCA regulations.
With the acquisition of Membrane Finance, Paxos will obtain an electronic money institution (EMI) license in the EU. This will allow the company to offer its stablecoins, such as Pax Dollar (USDP) and Pax Gold (PAXG), to European customers.
