Inihayag ng Spacemesh ang pampublikong pagbubukas ng Athena Devnet, isang makabagong Proof of Concept na idinisenyo upang subukan ang pagsasama ng Athena bilang kapalit ng genesis VM sa Layer 1.

Nagtatampok ang devnet ng parehong singlesig at multisig na mga wallet, na ang singlesig ay naka-built-in at naka-link sa isang hardcoded address, habang ang mga multisig na wallet ay tumatakbo sa pamamagitan ng pag-deploy batay sa binary code na mga hash. We're excited to open the Athena Devnet to the public! 🎇🎆

This devnet represents an innovative Proof of Concept integration in go-spacemesh, featuring Athena (on L1) as a replacement for the genesis VM. While this marks an exciting milestone, please note that we're still working diligently to prepare Athena for integration into the main network.

There are singlesig and multisig wallets available. The former is built-in and has a hardcoded address. The latter one is deployed (using the singlesig wallet) and has address based on the hash of the code (binary). The keyword deploy is important - it's the feature that allows users deploy new smart contracts onto the blockchain.
