Developed and coordinated with the community, v3 also introduces authored blobs, congestion controls, transaction size limits, among its five core changes:

1️⃣ CIP-21: Introduce blob type with verified signer
2️⃣ CIP-24: Versioned gas scheduler variables
3️⃣ CIP-26: Versioned timeouts
4️⃣ CIP-27: Block limits for number of PFBs and non-PFBs
5️⃣ CIP-28: Transaction size limit

Ginger is scheduled to go live on Mocha testnet in november and Mainnet Beta in December following the rollout of Shwap, a major upgrade to Celestia’s DA network.

Keep in mind that the Celestia community will drive the precise timing of network upgrades.
